The Gillette International had everything: informative seminars, a chance to present a seminar (geocaching), meeting friends form Rallies and caravans, trips in the surrounding area, the Vintage parade and open house….topped off by fireworks onthe 4th for a finale. Much of the time was spent talking with good friends we only see occasionally….catching up on events and planning our next travels. Wally’s Creed….says to promote friendships…..that certainly is done. One, always enjoyable, part of the International is the vintage open house. Vintage owners showing restorations that represent thousands of hours of work. My favorite this year was a 1936 Clipper. This year’s open house also included the oldest Airstream still on the road. The 1935 Torpedo….made from plans by a Doctor and passed down to his son.
